Student Gallery

Over the past 3 1/2 years, I have been offering regular classes in the areas of both wet felting and needle felting. It has been a true joy to connect with others and see what their own creative energies bring in terms of subject matter, colour choices, style. It's so hard to believe that I've seen over 200 people come through my studio to learn about this beautiful art form.

Here is a selection of pieces that have been completed in my Learn To Paint With Wool (wet felting) workshops from within the past year.

Before we wet felt our designs, wool is so lovely and fluffy on our base/canvas! Here are a few photos showing some pieces from one class before the participants did the water, soap and agitation thing:

Once we wet felt our pieces, they become flat and the fibres are no longer loose. We now have a piece of 'fabric' where all the fibres have interlocked within our design.

Here is a small sampling of projects that felters left with after the wet felting process. You can see the variety in styles, subject matters, colours, etc. Take a look and enjoy!
